ICLCS unveils new Web site
Description
The Institute for Chemistry Literacy through Computational Science program Web site recently relaunched with a new look and feel. The Web site features the latest news and events for the ICLCS program, as well as upcoming state-wide and national events or programs of interest to science teachers. The site also provides chemistry simulations and learning modules for teachers use in the classroom. The chemistry simulations were developed by Dr. Robert J. Mashl using a research-grade simulation package and illustrate fundamental physical chemical principles. The learning modules bring research to learning through classroom activities that apply to the real world. Links to other useful classroom tools and resources are listed as well.
ICLCS is a 5-year National Science Foundation funded Math Science Partnership program to increase the content, pedagogical and technological knowledge and skills of Illinois high school chemistry teachers through the use of computational tools.
